History of Metavante Lending Solutions

The evolution of Metavante Lending Solutions (formerly GHR Systems) began in 1984 on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. At the outset the company was a partnership between Jack Guttentag and Gerry Hurst, both professors at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. The two officially incorporated the company as GH Software, Inc. on January 3, 1985. In late 1987, Guttentag and Hurst sought the services of Allan Redstone, a graduate student at The Wharton School. Redstone agreed to come on board while he completed his MBA at Wharton and not long after, GH Software became GHR Systems. Initially Metavante Lending Solutions focused on making mortgage origination easier for consumers by supplying the necessary technology so lenders could provide borrowers with better information. From its inception, Metavante Lending Solutions has evolved into a multi-faceted lending automation solutions company and serves over 70 mortgage, consumer and business clients across North America.
